Lynda Plettner, owner of Plettner Kennels, is a ten time finisher of the Iditarod Sled Dog Race. She came to Alaska after training horses in CA for twenty years. Because of her love of animals, the shortage of horses but abundance of sled dogs, Lynda turned her training skills to the dog world. Her knowledge, patience, and perseverance earned her a very respectable position of finishing twentieth in the 2002 Iditarod. more »

Discovery Travel Channel
came to Plettner Kennels

The Discovery Travel Channel came to the kennel in July 2003. They are adding in a 3 minute piece about Plettner Kennels. The feature is about the National Parks of Alaska. Lynda thinks they added her just to see something other than a tree or a bear. They wanted people to know what else they might want to visit besides the parks. See some pictures of their visit. The production should be out in February 2004 or there about.
